Parent – Teacher Relationship
"Precious Memories Pre-School and Precious Memories Place" have an "Open Door Policy" so parents are welcome to visit the center at any time without any prior scheduling.
Monthly newsletters are available to keep parents informed of the center’s activities and are available on our website or at the front desk. “Daily Reflections” are utilized at the infant, toddler and pre-school levels to keep our parents informed on a daily basis. They include the following: potty & nap schedule along with meal information.
Additional parent conferences are also available upon request, and for your convenience, evening conferences may be scheduled.
In 1989, Christine Eckersley opened the first Precious Memories Preschool in Fairhaven, Massachusetts. Christine holds degrees in both Psychology and Elementary Education and has worked in preschools in excess of thirty years – since she began volunteering at fifteen years old. "Children are my passion and their happiness and a strong, positive beginning is my goal. I couldn’t feel more complete in the career path I’ve chosen. I've built decades of Precious Memories with the help of your children!"
In 1999, Barbara Bonhonowicz joined Christine in sharing ownership and the Director role at the Connecticut Centers. Barbara has a degree in Legal Studies from Bryant College and is the mother of triplets! "I have been a director in excess of ten years and could not be prouder of the service we provide, as well as, the continual growth of our school to accommodate all the needs of our families."
We are eager to spread the philosophy of healthy living and a positive outlook with a never ending desire to grow and achieve to all future generations. Together, as co-directors, we look forward to meeting you and your family. They are dedicated to making the transition of childcare an experience that will add to the quality of you and your child’s life!
